always show notification detail on lock screen

I need a way to keep the complete notification on the lock screen. It shows the icon but not the details.

Any help is appreciated.
 
Notifications are always going to collapse down to just their icons when the ambient display kicks in and the screen goes black and white. There is no way around that.

Is that what you're seeing or are the notifications somehow being collapsed on the full-color lockscreen?
 
Yes that is what I am seeing. I also have an iPhone for work and Ilike the fact that I can just pick up the phone and read the summary.

Fair point. I know the Pixel developers are interested in learning how they can improve the experience (particularly to attract and keep iPhone users) so I'd encourage you to let them know your thoughts. You can do this via Settings > About phone > Send feedback about this device. Be sure to describe your particular use case; real-world examples go a long way when campaigning for a feature request. :)
