GMAIL Sent folder screwing up!!!

Bultaco

Newbie
Anybody else (amongst the 2 billion users) noticed that Gmail no longer displays Recipients' names in their Sent Folder?

When I look in Sent........All I see is ME, ME, ME, ME, ME........as the SENDER of all my Sent messages.

Sorry, Gmail. That's a big DUH!!!

I KNOW who SENT my emails, now would you please let me see WHO I sent them TO?? Without opening every individual message in order to see the details?
Is it something I said? Something I did?

How do I fix this?
Thanks.

Those ME, ME is conversation view. Go into gmail>settings>[your account] and un-check conversation view. That should put it back the way it was.

Thanks for your input, lunatic......but I'm sorry to report that neither of my Android devices was set to Conversation mode.

I tried turning it ON, though, on BOTH of them (Galaxy phone and Nexus tablet).......shut down the app......re-opened it and, YES they had both converted to Conversation View.........but, sadly, still no recipients in Sent folder. ( I did this, just in the off chance that you had your suggestion backwards! No offense intended.......but you never know, right!?!?)

So, it's back to the drawing board I'm afraid.

Anyone else?

Additionally, someone on another Forum, android.stackexchange.com, has suggested that "it's always been this way".

Which, I'm sorry, I steadfastly refuse to believe. Google didn't get to where they are today by being THAT stupid.

I'm also bothered by this silly design flaw in gmail. My other email app shows who I sent to rather than "me" which is how it should be. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a fix for this so I just deal with it.

Wow. This is insanity.

Can't believe I haven't noticed it before now. (Can't believe no senior programmers haven't been murdered......in public........at Google!!)

I didn't see this post before and I just post one for the same problem. The last post on this thread was a year ago. Maybe there is no resolution yet. If there is, I love to hear about it.
