Hide certain apps in data usage menu

I recently got a 3GB data plan from Telia Norway. With it, I've got something called "music freedom", letting me listen to music from Spotify using 4G without it being part of my 3GB limit. Basically, unlimited music streaming.

Telia doesn't care about how much data I use on Spotify. Android however, does. In the data usage menu in settings, it's telling me I've already used 1GB of data, approx. 750MB of it from Spotify. I was wondering if it's possible to hide Spotify in some way, so that the data I'm told I've used lines up with what Telia thinks I've used.

Thanks in advance for any and all answers!

Welcome to the site! :)

I don't think it's possible with the included data usage monitor.

You can try searching the Play Store for a data usage app that allows excluding apps from total data usage. I checked some but none listed that feature.

How close do you come to your 3 GB limit otherwise? If it were me I'd just turn it off. You can always check manually, otherwise I think you are going to have two problems. First, you're going to get notifications continuously once you hit the limit with Spotify, and second, if you've got any data saver enabled, it could shut down your mobile connection when it thinks you're over the limit.
