What happened to the ability to close individual apps?

My Galaxy Note 9 was updated this morning and after the update I no longer have the ability to close individual open apps. How do I get that option back?

I noticed that too. An Android Pie thing. Not good.

Swipe up on the app card in the recent app menu to close an individual app, or I think they call it Quick Scrub menu now.

Yes, or you can scroll all the way to the right and click the clear all button.

Is there a square on your bottom navigation bar where the Home button is?

Yes, or you can scroll all the way to the right and click the clear all button.

If you're going to use clear all button, no need to scroll left or right, just click on the button and all recent used apps will close.
