Help Emojis in Android forums

Is there a way to use my Emojis from my device in Android Forums? Only the Emojis in Android forums work but not for my device.

As someone who only ever uses a browser to view the site, most attempts at fancier emojis than the usual emoticons ( , , ) just appear as a string of characters anyway. I guess it allows me to spot who is using an app, but that's all they convey to me.
