Camera not working. Force stop and clear data restores function, but only for one use. Take a pic and camera stops again. Stay function off and all apps up-to-date. Where else to look?
Have you tried using a different camera app? If not, try some from the Play Store and see if they work. That will help narrow down whether it's a hardware issue.
Odd problem, since using Clear data doesn't help perhaps the Camera app is crashing because some other app is tied to it in that app's permissions menu. Try restarting your S7 Edge into its Safe Mode https://www.hardreset.info/devices/samsung/samsung-g935f-galaxy-s7-edge/safe-mode/
and see if the Camera app will continue working. When you're using your phone in its Safe Mode it's running just the base Android install, none of your third-party apps you've installed get loaded into memory during the boot up process like they usually do. If it does work normally again, then you still need to determine just which app you've installed is causing the problem. How long has this problem been occurring? Do you recall installing any app around the same time this crashing problem started?
But if the Camera app still crashes after using it while in Safe Mode, then yeah, try installing a third-party camera app from the Play Store. I'll recommend trying out the Open Camera app. It's an Open Source project, free with no ads, and has a really extensive feature set. (Be sure to go into the app's Settings menu to set/optimize things to make your camera that much better to use.) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.sourceforge.opencamera&hl=en_US
