Has anyone tried the slo-mo camera. This is my first phone that has it, and, I guess I expected the audio to be muted. Instead it sounds like a horror movie. Really wild.

Ignore the flickering. There was a light flickering and it really shows up in the slo-mo video. My son in a batting cage. And I don't know why I can only get 360p.
I tried the superslomo, but after like 30 seconds my son's arm moved about 2inches in his pitch. That's awesome!
That really is cool tech! And I can see how it can be a useful tool as well. I had to run to Verizon today with an issue with my watch. My guy there tried to sell me an Ultra. He sold me my Note just a couple of months ago and knew I was wanting the S20 at that time.
I was a good boy and didn't even touch one... I knew better.![]()
Holding out for he Note 20?![]()
Well, since this is a slo-mo thread, I will note that super-slo mo has the mic muted. It actually add music like the old silent movies, but for some reason it didn't upload to YT.
Reposted from the Dog Days thread.
OK, here you go. This is my pup, just over a year old. Notice the rapt attention, proper sitting position, wide mouthed I ain't missing crap, and the huge eyes at the point of catching it.
Now, my 11YO beagle, chilling nonchalantly on the floor, casually snatching it out of the air without her pulse wavering one bit.
It is odd that the music didn't upload. Did you have music to choose from of is is a preset?
I would have loved that super slo-mo when my son was playing sports. Talk about a great tool to anaiyze repetitive motions and correct / eliminate wasted motion.
Did you take the above vids with the phone in a mount? I detect zero camera motion. I guess the time lapse seems to be over a longer span of time than actually transpired. Are the captures a given length or dictated by the user? Can you slo-mo using the telephoto options? What rez are the captures?
Sorry for all of the questions but I'm fascinated with the tech.
It defaults to a random choice, then you can tap a bar and choose. I chose one listed as royalty free or something like that. I played the videos and it was fine, uploaded to YT and it was gone.It is odd that the music didn't upload. Did you have music to choose from of is is a preset?
That's the plan. Those cage videos are just practice for me as there are four other coaches way over my ability helping him out. Timing on slo-mo is pretty straight forward. Superslomo is a pain (or I haven't unlocked the secret timing yet).I would have loved that super slo-mo when my son was playing sports. All freehand. I was actually watching some old videos I took (since Youtube was moving on to the next video in my library) and these videos are way more stable.Did you take the above vids with the phone in a mount? I detect zero camera motion.
It looks like there are controls on regular slow motion where you can transition from regular speed to slow mo after capture, which would explain the audio being on. I haven't exactly dialed in how they work though.I guess the time lapse seems to be over a longer span of time than actually transpired.
Slo-mo appears to be based on me starting and stopping recording where super slomo seems like a fixed time from either hitting record or optionally detecting motion. Are the captures a given length or dictated by the user?
I haven't tried or measured. Uploads to YT are 1080, but I'm not sure that's definitive. I haven't had an opportunity to play with zoom yet at all.Can you slo-mo using the telephoto options? What rez are the captures?
I'm learning to play with that. Was never much of a tuber, but it's growing on me. LOL@Unforgiven you should use yotuube studio and add a music track to those. Youtube has a giant audio library. Would be hilarious with some suspenseful music, lol

Holy smokes does it take time to add the audio. I've added tracks to each, but they are processing.Ha! It does that. I may look for some cool slomo shots and put on AF youtube channel.

It is obvious that there is a lot more to slo-mo than I ever considered. I like the ability to convert a real speed capture into slo-mo.That's the plan. I'm very impressed! All freehand. I was actually watching some old videos I took (since Youtube was moving on to the next video in my library) and these videos are way more stable.
I don't want to confuse this issue. You can't convert real time video to slo-mo. It appears that for video recorded in slo-mo mode there is an option to have an opening and closing portion in realtime and adjust what portion is displayed in slow-mo. I'd imagine it would drop unnecessary frames where going from real time to slo-mo would require adding frames, hence it being choppy.I like the ability to convert a real speed capture into slo-mo.
Absolutetly. My shots above were either prepared (batting cage) or stages (dog treats). There will be times I want a long form video of a baseball game but may want a slo-mo of a K or a bang-bang play at first. It's that rare occasion that a random video captures something that would be hilarious if slowed down and viewed with such quality.
Ah, my bad and you are no doubt correct in the need for additional frames to convert. Recording in slo-mo would fill my needs 99% of the time. It's that rare occasion that a random video captures something that would be hilarious if slowed down and viewed with such quality.
