lock screen help

I have a Galaxy Note 10+. There are two quick apps on the lock screen. I want to change those. Which I did in settings and it worked fine. However at some point it always switches back to the two original apps. Those are the default I guess. No matter how many times I change them they always switch back. I'm stuck. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide. Be safe!

Does it revert back to the original apps after a restart/reboot?
'After some time' doesn't give many clues.
Also, are you using any 'cleaning' apps, or manually clearing app data or caches?
Any of these may/may not cause this to occur.

Also, if by some chance the apps you want on the lock screen are stored on the SD card (and the 'default' apps are not) this would be another reason for things like this to happen.

Thanks for the reply. No, no apps stored on SD card. No cleaning has been done either. Everything else works fine. Idk.

I haven't restarted the phone. I say "after some time" only because I havebr been watching it. Just later in the day I'll notice that it's back to the previous apps.

Strange I know. I'm stuck. It changes fine in settings but then after awhile just puts the other ones back on there. Lol

at some point if it bothers you, you may want to get samsung in on the fun. maybe they know more than we do.

if it occurs with any frequency and can be repeatable (like every X minutes) it may be some app gone rogue on your device. this is going to be difficult for someone over the internet to diagnose.

obviously this did not occur on day one of the device, so its perhaps some app you installed and didn't understand what its doing.

what if you take off ALL the apps? do the saem ones pop back up?

who is your carrier? have you had the phone long? are you a previous notre user or did you migrate from another device?

When you say that you haven't restarted the device, do you mean that you haven't tried that yet?
If you haven't, I would suggest to do so.

Not a reset, mind you, but a restart.

Basically like turning it off and on, so that the system shuts down and then reboots.

It is like giving an Android an enema and then an energy drink!

Also, are you using the stock launcher app, or have you put one of your own choice on the device?

Are you using the stock settings or Good Lock? Good Lock is available in the Galaxy Store and has a number of plugins to enhance specific functionality. Try that and then LockStar to customize your lockscreen.
