Telephoto Camera

Hey guys I was wondering if you could take a moment to post some pics (light and dark settings) with the telephoto lens? I find the quality to be very poor and grainy on my phone and I use the highest MP setting and the superbright and HDR are off (I tried with them on as well doesn't change much) I would just like to see if all of our cameras give the same results thanks guys!

I can't help much with telephoto photographs. I don't go out much (long story having nothing to do with today's issue) I primarily use the telephoto setting as a macro lens for taking close ups and they are extremely sharp. (As long as I don't shake)
I did just learn something. I took a photo of black vinyl from 1½ inches and it was sharp. I tried the same of a white paper towel and it couldn't focus. Very interesting. Then I took a photo on telephoto approximately 10 ft away and it was grainy. (These all were using "Auto" or "AI cam".

I rarely use the telephoto settings. Much prefer to take pics in standard and crop them down..

Not really. It depends on the quality of the lens and if it's a glass lens creating the picture or digital software manipulating the photo. I still have a quality film camera with a telephoto lens and the pictures are razor sharp. I also used a "telephoto" lens clipped on my previous HTC phone and those pictures were sharp, just not as sharp as a real camera.

Thank you. Usually on auto for the most part. Every now and then I would use the Google camera port just to compare with the stock camera or the AI setting.
