When I go into the google player app on my phone all my albums are there, but when I go to the Files app and look for them in the Artists file, I cant find some of them. Any idea why or where they are located? I see all the other stuff thats in that artists file.....

this is not something I bough and downloaded from Google or any other place. Its something I ripped to my pc and then put on my phone. Cant figure out why it shows up on the google player app but not anywhere else. It doesnt even show up in the stock samsung music player.
I have a folder named 'Music' on my HTC 10 and Pixel 3a, all my MP3 tracks are put into that folder and when I open Play Music or the new YouTube Music which I downloaded today, the tracks are automatically picked up and are ready to play.
With the YouTube Music app when I first opened it I had the choice of 'YT Music' or 'Device Files'.
The Pixel 3a also has a default 'Audio' folder and that is scanned by both Music apps.

yes I also have a file called music and that is where I put the files when I added them tp my phone from my PC, now they are not in that folder anymore yet still showing up in the Google music player. Even the stock samsung player doesnt see them
Have you got an SD card in your device? If so, have you checked both the internal shared storage and the SD card for the 'Music' folder?

As you say, they are on your device. So is the 'Play music' app picking them up and working ok.

Yes I have an SD card but I keep my music stored on the phones internal storage. I did check the SD card and searched for the album file as well as a couple of the tracks. Nothing. I even connected the phone to my PC and searched. Nothing. I also looked in that weird android.google.music or what ever it is folder, nothing. I dont get it. Where the hell is it finding those files?
