A Android Question Guest Jan 30, 2014 #1 How do I access the SD card on the phone in order to launch an executable file on the phone?

If you mean an .exe file though, that won't work. Exe is a windows file extension and Android won't recognise it.

If you formatted it as extended storage, the SD card is encrypted and can only be used on the device which formatted it. Formatting the SD card as media will allow SD card accesss by any device.
