"OK Google" no longer beeps

Help!
I don't know what I did, but about a month ago, when I say "Ok Google", my Google Assistant turns on and vibrates but no beep. I miss the beep. Every time I search for a fix, I get instructions that don't match our LG V40. They all have one step that I cannot find. I've used
1. Settings - Accessibility - dead end
2. Google Home app - dead end
3. I've even asked Google Assistant and get these instructions:

After selecting the Cog wheel icon, there isn't an Accessibility setting.
I am out of ideas. I have restarted my phone, re-enabled all disabled apps and soft reset.
Any new ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, but did all that. I have no problems with any other sound and my volumes are locked, but I checked anyway.

Thanks again .No, Bluetooth is permanently off. But I did turn it on just to check anything I could think of. It's the settings that I can't find that really bother me. But it was working so I just don't know.
