I can't find anything for mine except for cases that cost more than the phone.
Not even an owner's manual in PDF.

So what I would do is first call the Q-Link phone number on the charger to see if it is still under warranty.

If not, then to purchase another phone just like it would cost about the same anyway.
Use the battery in your old phone or use the whole new setup.

Also, a new phone of a slight upgrade probably would not cost much more.

I have seen the Poblano for sale in stores for $20 USD, and have heard of them being sold for $10 USD.

That is just the quick start guide, by far not a real owner's manual.

It comes with the phone, and is printed on a single, folded piece of paper.

As for the battery, it looks like the right one.

But here's the catch...
the battery is $10, and shipping is $6.
To rejuvinate a three year old device that was $20 when it was new.

Better off to add a few bucks and just get an entire new device, I would think.

Not that I am downing the device at all, I mean I am using one to reply right now.

welp ill need some time to find one as the vle5 is not a common smartphone however the user can also use a 18650 battery and just wire it to the positive and negative terminals and it should work but assuming the user also has the old battery they would need to remove the protection circuit and connect it to the 18650 battery and it should work without a problem (yes ive done this before can confirm it works) or you can do the same thing but with a lithium cell instead of a 18650 battery
only difference with the 18650 battery is its a 2300 mAh but it will work just fine the battery for this phone is only a 2000mAh so here's a link to one I'll see if I can find you one for that phone if not ill just give you mine

That seens to be a lot of work for a $9 phone.

I only asked for a link because you stated thatvthe device could be had for $9.

It really doesn't matter, because the device will become outdated rather soon.

you have a point but i forgot to add you can also use a battery from a cheap bluetooth speaker just make sure to add the protection circuit from the phone battery

Personally?
At that point I would drill a hole in the back cover of the device, cut the end off of a power cord, pull it through the hole I drilled, tie a pretzel knot in it, then soldier the bare wires to the battery connections on the phone.

It is less effort and money than trying to retrofit some other battery.

unfortunately that does not work I've done this before the phone maay turn on for a few seconds but then it will shut back down because It does not detect the protection circuit

Then leave the battery in it, and still connect the charger as described.

If it is a dead/dying device, then the option of portability is not very viable.

I was under the assumption that we were discussing a device that was not to be used as a everyday driver.

If you remember, the idea was to mearly retrieve data from a device that had a battery that was nonfuctional.

The idea that someone would carry around a device that had a rigged power supply is marginal, at best.
