Help Fix_Permissions

I have recently updated my phone to Cyanogen 4.2.3.1 and am now getting force closures with several apps. I googled the heck out of it and everywhere I've found these threads, their advice is run fix_permissions, but never explain how to or where to find a guide to do it. I have searched and searched and have had no such luck. Can someone please tell me what I have to do to run fix_permissions or atleast point me to a guide.

First download http://www.getyourdroidon.com/shiversftp/fix_permissions.sh

Put it on the root of your sd card and go into terminal emulator.

Type: su and hit enter

Type: sh /sdcard/fix_permissions.sh and hit enter

Type reboot and hit enter

Should be all fixed.

Fix permissions worked for some force close issues, but there were some apps that were still force closing. For those apps I just uninstalled them with App Manager and reinstalled them. They work fine now. Thanks for the help you provided though.
