Ads & ridiculous suggestions

I know Play services are unavoidable and even necessary but the app ads are really annoying and also it's a huge data hog, overall. Any way of killing the ads or at least causing them to suggest something useful? Friggin game ads - arrggh.

Danny, thx for that tip. Its in place. I actually tried AVG as it was supposed to block ads but I don't think it does much of anything. But it did report Adguard as a malicious app, lol.
 
I think I like this. I haven't looked in to all the config options but it looks good. I have used Ghostery on my laptop for years but they don't do Android. I like simple. I may just move to this and support the product. No, this is not a paid ad.
