It was a popular place with my family. There was a large monkey wards in town. From clothes to auto parts :) I let google inform me of places that weren't here any more to make certain that they were truly closed. I mentioned the Vickers station. In my home town of Haysville Ks there was a Vickers and that is where my father bought gas and had small repairs performed. Google had a nice write up about the station that belongs to the city now. I didn't know and I lived there 19 years... here is a link if you are bored
Historic Vickers Petroleum Service Station

K-Mart, Woolworths/Woolco, Sears, Western Auto, Blockbuster, Shakey's pizza, along with all of the full service gas stations.
The Shakey's in my area went away a long time ago now. However, I've seen advertising for Shakey's on the baseball plex this summer. I think it might have been a Dodgers game. I hated to see them go... they made a good pie. Pizza Hut originally started here in Wichita Ks. They pretty much hurt or shut down the other parlors. When I was a kid it was Sears and Roebuck. I'm pretty sure that a tag on my baseball glove still reflects that time. Google says there were eight remaining Sears in 2024. Not owned by Sears but retaining the name. I loved their catalog as a child. To dream about some of the toys and to sneak a peak at the women's lingerie. :)
