Keriug Coffee

Hey all, I recently bought a Keriug Coffee maker, I've always wanted one.

I've had a few cups of them, and I always loved them. I was currious, to those who have one, what's the best coffee that you can get for them? I was thinking of just going to Jewel and getting some Starbucks K-Cups and seeing what selection they have there.

Any recommendations?

Never personally cared for Starbucks coffee. I liked the Caribou coffee k- cups I had. Think they were medium roast.

Trying these k cups/pods this morning

We have a coffee machine for the cottage, had decaf dunkins and also there was one with the donut and sprinkle flavor on it, very excellent choice no matter what, worth every penny, we just have that for the cottage because .. Well it is much easier to get that and clean it out, without the hassle of a real pot, my mother and I were talking about it for home, but I decline, where should we keep it I wonder, since in our cupboard is pretty tight. And do not waste anything, but we had to bring it down here and able to put it where the teapot is at, a decent size but we end up using that space...

We bought a bunch of these little pods, along with tiny little unfiltered paper filters that go into them for easy cleanup. We can use our regular coffee in the Keurig, made just the way we like it. While we have a Black Rifle Coffee Company roasting facility here in town (they sell fresh coffee at their outpost store), we have a preference for Kirkland Signature French Roast. We buy the whole bean, grind it here at the house (really fine, somewhere between espresso and regular grind), and enjoy. Opens up the Keurig world to endless possibilities.

Some other keurig K cups i have picked up over the last few months.
The coffee bean and tea leaf Bali blue moon i found at Ross. Occasionally you can find different K cups/pods at Ross, TJ Max, the home good store
The Marcella i found at a Menards which is basically a mid west hard ware store comparable to Home Depot or Lowe's.
Menards had grocery and clothing section
Now the cookie dough, mountain blend and chocolate dipped pistachio keurig K cups i only got because they were on clearance for $5 each and I figured if I don't like it's only $15 I am out compared to nearly $30-$40 at regular price depending on location

I discovered Keurig back in 2008 or 2009. We were at uncle's house and he had just gotten it. He said it opened up the chance to try different varieties of coffee besides the one's found in the groceries stores folgers, Maxwell house, MJB, Hill Bros and the store brand one. I thought it was cool but did i want one? No. I was content with my regular Mr. Coffee machine. My wife who doesn't really drink coffee wanted to get one.
I keep saying no, giving reasons why we didn't need it. (I think it was more about keeping up with the aunt and uncle)
Finally Christmas time 2008 or 2009 rolls around and my wife had decided that I really wanted a Keurig machine. I think the machine came 25-30 k cups and my wife i think had bought 2 or 4 other boxes .
So after all the presents were opened and the nephew's were engaged with their toys. The father n law, Mother n Law, Brother n law and two sisters n law sat up the Keurig machine and spent the next 6-8 hours drinking coffee . We only stopped when we started running low and like a crackhead needing a fix we went out in search of more k cups to try.
I think we found one grocery store open.
The day after Christmas, we hit up Walmart, target, bed bath and beyond, various grocery stores I think we spent $100-$150 on different k cups and regular bag coffee. We had actually run out of k cups Christmas night and had switched to over the regular coffee machine.
The minute we got back me and the in laws got right back to our coffee exploration.
My wife finally put her foot down when we all turned into Gollum from lord of the rings over the coffee .
The following day we woke up to find both the Keurig and the regular coffee machine gone. My wife had decided to stage a coffee intervention.

When we did bought it and had it for the cottage, pretty simple we cut back on purchasing coffee filters and everything was like a mess, to clean up, and we have a smaller counterspace up there vs. up in the homestead, it was an oddball experiance over all but we enjoyed it and my Aunt was the first one who mentioned it through her son, he does have one too.

The Boss Lady bought me one for Christmas in like 2020. We've about settled in with the Walmart's "Great Value" coffee. She likes the medium roast and I like the dark roast.

I've got a set of the refillable pods and I'm thinking that I've got a bag of Cafe Bustelo that I need to use. I've been making mine into iced coffee because of my top plate and am missing out on the coffee punch.
