People always ask if a gameboy of nintendo is new, and I said "No, it is an antique, but when you find the right cartridges for it, then yeah you can play endless, but be sure to swamp batteries.."

The United States Constitution was written to serve as the Supreme Law of our Land on September 17th, 1787. It is the oldest functioning, written constitution in the world and has served as the basis of the American government for 238 years.

While many people believe that our rights come from the Constitution, they do not: the Declaration of Independence is clear that our rights are inherent at birth, endowed to us by God and Natural Law. The Constitution is a written guarantee that our rights can not be violated without due process. It is not a restraint on the People: it is a restraint on the federal government.

The States created the federal government with the Constitution and gave to it 18 specific powers. Sadly, we have allowed the federal government to seize a great deal of power from the States and the People over the last century... in violation of the 9th and 10th Amendments. We have a lot of altering and abolishing to do at the federal level.

I don't know why it took this long to figure out that this is a thing, but there is a way for U.S.A. residents to opt out of all pre-approved credit offers and junk mail, for either 5 years or permanently. No more pre-approved credit offers!

I ended up with a Canadian penny in my change from my cash transaction for my trailer tag the other day. Getting a Canadian penny was once fairly common but always struck me odd. I'm in Kansas which isn't a Northern state. In any event, I don't see the coin much anymore. Perhaps it's the less cash changing hands that has caused the frequency I see the coin lessen. I was giving the coin a closer look and noted that it was minted in 1980. I then looked at the other three pennies and the nickel that I got in change at the tag office. All of the coins are from the 70's and 80's. ....Weird

I have you beat, @olbriar - I somehow ended up with a foreign coin in my change last week. I guess the cashier had mistaken it for a nickel - which is unusual for Middle Tennessee. It had Queen Elizabeth on it, so I knew it was either Canadian or British. After breaking out the magnifying glass so I could really examine it, it turned out to be a British Pound coin - which is about $1.35 right now. Nice nickel!

Yep, you win. I don't recall every receiving a coin from across the pond in my change. I have a few foreign coins that were handed down or gifted. I have never been off the continent.

There's something ironic about sipping Fireball while looking out my hotel window overlooking Suzhou...

And waiting for my wife to yell at me again.

Nice to know you can go halfway round the globe and still have the constants of home...

Ponder the irony of traveling halfway around the globe to spend almost all of our free time in Wu Xi in a cheap souvenir shop looking at (and buying some) crap, pretty much all of which we could have gotten at a dollar store back home for almost exactly the same price...

I was tasked with providing the music for my 55th class reunion next weekend. I copied my music library onto a Seagate TB portable HD. I brought an older laptop back to life and wiped it clean. I installed a player and created three playlists. The primary list contains the top 25 charted tunes from each of the four years we were in high school. I added a few favorites that survived the test of time that didn't chart that high. Then I created two dance lists. A slow dance and a group or line dance list. I can take requests as well, drawing from the 50+K library. My buddy and high school partner in crime is suppling a mixer and two wireless mics. We ran the lights and audio for everything that happened in the auditorium the four years we were there. It will be like old times. All we need do is to interface with the Marriott's ballroom sound system. We've paid for the access so it should be easily achieved.
