I'm ready for my Froyo update. The anticipation is tearing me apart. Next time, have the update available to the public when the update is officially introduced. I want my Froyo!!!!!!

even though it's only been a week, and they said it could be any time in june, i know how you feel.

i wake up every day wondering if it has been OTA'd. lol
 
why dont u just do it manually? It has already been stated by google that even if u forced it, u will receive the OTA . Even if they dont, all u will have to do is force the next one.
 
google said froyo would be availabe "in the next few weeks". you cant wait a few lousy weeks? i promise before you know it you will have froyo and look back years from now and think "man was i really THAT upset over some update for a mobile device?!"

it will be here in no time i promise!
 
I love how impatient we have become. We used to not get updates on phones at all, and now that we get them twice a year we want them immediately as if they are coming once a week. Get real. I'd rather have an update work well then quickly.

OR you can update manually like the rest of the impatient people (myself included).
 
Frankly I'm agreeing with the OP. I hit the check for updates button about 4 times a day, because I'm really really looking forward to the improvements to the camera application.

I've never owned a digital camera before, and for candid style shots the camera in this is very nice. Even recording video has been fun at times.

I'm betting that you'll just see a pop-up notification (or at least something on the notification bar) before you ever go to the System Updates page and see anything.
 
I was really hoping they'd unlock protected Market apps on that leaked version. It would only be polite since Google did see fit to digitally sign it and leave it on a public server. I guess I might be waiting until the final OTA to get my protected apps back. This is why I'm really looking forward to it.
 
I agree....I'm getting so impatient for this update. I check my phone updates like 2-3 times a day to lol. If Google could just at least give us an ota date I'd feel a lot better.

Protected apps are wroking on the unofficial 2.2 release. It took some time for them to update the apps to allow it but apps like iSyncr were not working about a day later are now.

I don't think that's a protected app. I'm talking about protected apps showing up in the market. Apps like pure calendar still don't show up for me. If others can see protected apps, I'd like to know.
 
So.... we have nothing better to do? Maybe google should stop annoucing updates until release?
