Root ( Port ) Galaxy 1.6 on the Behold 2 Final

I just wanted to say that since i upgraded to bh_man's 1.6 galaxy I am very happy with the phone. I feel like I have access to pretty much every app I wanted. With 1.5 it was like I was using a completely different version of android then everyone else but now its compatible and only missing a few things from 2.1 that I can live without. I'm dissapointed with Samsung, of course, but happy with my phone. I'm surprised at the people that are saying it's useless. Yes, you are not super up to date with the newest version... but everything you buy is going to be obsolete soon enough. I think 1.6 is pretty rad.

I'll consider the phone Out Of Date when the VAST majority of apps aren't 1.5/1.6 compatable anymore ;->
 
I have r11 on my behold 2 and yesterday, half way through the day the sound on my phone (ringtone, message notification tone, speaker phone, etc) stopped working. I turned off the phone and charged it over night and it still doesn't work. Yes I checked all my settings too, can't think of anything else wrong with it. Anyone with ideas? should I go to final pda version for resolution?

sorry to mess this thread with questions but the forum says posting is closed to make new threads so i am going to ask a question here.
its also really weird how sometimes i have a option to make a new thread and then some days it wont let me i dont know why or whats the problem.


Okay when i had the 1.5 twiz i loved the camera software! but now i have less options and effects and its just not the same i am running bh_mans final galaxy rom.
is there a way to Put the stock camera on to this rom , it also seems idk if anyone thinks this too but it seems the video quality has gone down or pic quality too it just looks like it . anyways i really only love the stock camera software and the cube i thinks it cool. but the camera is the only thing i really would appreciate and if the cube isnt possible i will be satisfied with the stock camera . thnx..

also wanted to say . how come i stil have the sleeping issue? i updated to "final" and it still gives me the problem.
its weird cause sometime back the sleep issue got fixed and now randomly and sometimes it does that where it will have the problem out the blue.
currently i am having the problem
. i only got 8 1/2 hrs today aon average use but i think i could do better with the sleep fix. any solution ?

i know what u are talking about man .
i also had and still have this problem once in a while. i sometimes i get worried that if i get a call from my work (need to get hired) will get muted or get this problem durin the call .( really importat) the speaker and or headset on the hearing on the behold 2 will stop working and the other person will not hear me in the call . by this problem .
i had this problem with r11 and still with the final only sometimes probably like 3 times a week maybe. kind of weird .
THIS seems to happen with my "in call " time whenever im in a phone call .
this prob also seems to happen to me during the middle of the day like u also mentioned.

anyone else having this problem

is there any fix.

I installed the r12 and still have this issue. Yes, I did the reset, etc... still no sound. I called Tmo and they are sending me out a new Behold 2 because they think its a hardware and not software issue. Which leads me to ask, should I put back on the phone the original firmware?

if ur sending it back for waranty then yes. cause if u dont i heard it will void ur warranty or something like that

hi, im new at this. your rom is awesome but i got one problem. when i go to galler i get. The Appliocation Camera (process com.android.camera) has stopped unexpectedly. please try again. and how do i install the kernal updates?

Just create a folder on your sd card and name it "sd" then gallery should work

man this is a great link if anyone still misses the weather and toggle widgets from r11 and r10 . here is the link buddies! woot woot . i have a perfect rom and now didnt have to go back since i missed the weather widget! anyways here is a free app that cost $2 if anyone dont want to feel like paying . and u know the steps use astro app installer .

and here is a must have launcher for the behold 2 if anyone wants the name . its "adwlauncher" this is probably one of the best app launchers!!! search for it in the market . i got to tell u this launcher is pure amazing if anyone hasnt gotten it u should really install it on ur behold 2. gots a lot of features and options i swear/ and sorry if i posted a wrong comment but i cant make a new thread for some reason . idk why . anyways here yall welcome
 
- ( To mount /system in recovery ) mount -o rw, /dev/block/stl9 /system
- ( To Mount /data in Recovery ) mount -o rw, /dev/block/stl14 /data
- ( To mount /cache in recovery ) mount -o rw, /dev/block/stl12 /cache
- ( To un-mount ) umount /system or / data or / Cache

i want to know how to install that
