$70 credit for premier customers still available

I was told that to about the not being able to offer you two promotions based on the clubbing rule but i simply told the rep a friend had it done for them even after purchasing the evo like I has already done and she went back to the supervisor who than granted me the one time credit!

I was lucky. I got the $70 credit from Sprint customer care rep, then talked to retentions rep and got the $10 credit for 24 months. My contract was up and I was threatening to jump to the iphone. I did this 4 days before the EVO came out.

I guess it is all about who you talk to.

A month or so ago, I was credited $210 ($70/3 lines) to my account .. but I have 5 lines and was told the other 2 lines can get the credit after I bought the EVO on those lines.

So, I called Sprint yesterday, lady said there were no available credits for the lines. Thought maybe it was done and over with till I seen this thread, so I started a Chat online with a rep, and told her that people on this forum was having success getting the credits applied to their EVO lines.

This is what she said ...

9:56:33 AM :
Rebecca S: I have checked this for you.

9:57:48 AM :
Rebecca S: The service credit of $70.00 is applied to the subscription, if the contract has already satisfied or will get satisfied within the next 6 months. However customer opts to upgrade the phone on the line with the contract renewal, the $70.00 credit is not provided.

9:59:06 AM :
Rebecca S: I am sorry as the phone has been upgraded for # 518-xxx-xxxx and 518-xxx-xxxx, the account is not valid for $70.00 credit.

9:59:27 AM :
Michael Ambesi: Interesting, that wasn't how it was a month or so ago when I got the $70 credit on the other 3 lines.

9:59:53 AM :
Michael A.: Are there any other credits that do not conflict with upgrading the phone? Another person said they weren't allowed a $70 credit, but a $50 credit for renewing with the EVO?

10:01:28 AM :
Rebecca S: I understand what you are saying. According to the notes on the account the $70.00 cannot be offered for these two lines. I apologize for the inconvenience.

10:02:19 AM :
Michael A.: So there are no other available credits? $10/mo for 24 months or a one time $50 credit? Neither of these are available either?

10:03:59 AM :
Rebecca S: I am sorry these credits cannot be applied.

Really weird. My 3 lines that were credited before did not lose their Upgrade eligibility, but like another person said in this thread, they are stating since I used the upgrade on the EVO, I can no longer get the credit.

Oh well, I tried.

Just wanted to say thanks to the OP... I called sprint this morning and asked them about it. They said that it was still going on and it would not effect my eligibility for a upgrade in any way. I had them anotate that in the call notes and then called the different number that he provided. The asked some questions then gave me the $70 credit. I even asked the person who gave the credit if it would effect my upgrade that they said no. Now just have to wait for Wirefly to get more phones in stock to get my new evo.. for 119.99.. woohooo..

It's suppose to be either $70 service credit OR $150 on upgrade I hope those getting the service credit isn't ruining there upgrade.

On with sprint chat right now asking about 4 of my lines... and also 1 that was renewed about 3 months ago.

Will let you know the outcome

Try try try again.... LOL

My understanding is that the credit is only for a line that is out of contract and you are renewing your contract for an additional 2 years. I wish I would have seen this post sooner. On sprint's website, I upgraded my wife's phone (from touch diamond to Hero) Monday the 7th. Did not realize that it would reset the contract on that day that I ordered it. Thought it would reset when I received it and activated it. Because of this, she is no longer eligible for the $70 credit.. If I would have only waited or seen this sooner. :(

Call in and speak to someone... tell them you didn't know about the $70 credit and keep pushing until you get it...

So far....

2:18:00 PM : Raul G: Unfortunately, it is not possible to avail both the offers together on your account. You can opt either of the both the offers.

Still pushing for it though.. If no go, I will try it by phone

Remember these chat and phone sessions are logged, there going to see that you keep calling or chatting about the same issue.

You're right, but it never seems to matter.

I called probably 15 times before I got $20/24 back when they raised their regulatory fee $.20/line earlier this year. I called probably 5-8 times to get them to move my upgrade eligibility up 25 days to buy the EVO. Persistence and getting lucky with a nice rep can really pay off.

What did you say? I have tried to get that credit with no luck.... I'm such a cheap ass lol.

I initially called to see if I could get a discount for being with a credit union. They couldn't find my credit union in their system, so instead they offered to give me $10 off my bill every month. They said they would make the change immediately on my account and sure enough when I logged on last night, there was a memo saying that my account had been changed.

I'm very pleasantly surprised with the customer service I've been getting from Sprint lately.

Well I just chatted and got the same denial many of you got, but then interestingly he wrote this at the end:

"
2:44:36 PM :
Shawn S: I can see that you are our valuable premier customer. As you were unaware about this offer I offer you a onetime credit of $10 in your account."

So I took it and ran. I figured since I'm not technically eligible for the $70 credit I'll take it and be happy. $10 I didn't have yesterday...

I'm upgrading at my 1yr mark and Sprint has continuously denied me the $70 credit, stating that they typically give that out when you are at the 2yr mark (end of contract). I don't believe them--they all have different stories as to why I can't get it and half of them can't even find a way to give it to me so I get transferred to retentions, who then outright denies me again.

Upgraded to the EVO and extended my contract on the 4th. I found this thread and called today. Was denied the $70, they said it was not available for my account. Asked to talk to a manager and was lied to. Said after looking at my account, he would send me a link to sign up for the credit union discount. That never came.

Began another chat this afternoon complaining of how I was lied to and never sent the link. Got lots of apologies but was told again there was nothing they could do. She noticed that I already had a government employee discount on my account and said that I couldn't combine that and the credit union discount. She met me half way. My employee discount was %10 so she bumped that to %15.

Not exactly what I had contacted them for, but anything a little cheaper is better. Good luck all. Be persistant!! :D

well i tried it and they would not give it to em because it has to be in your account to save you can get it and its not in my account ohh well

Well I guess its safe to say Rebecca S and Raul G are no goes when it comes to sprint chat... What other names are a no go and which ones were successfull?

Told me i could get the $50 and that is all that the give awaysas she put it was over and to look at the premier section when i logon to find out what is offered. She also went on to say the $10 24 month discount would be pulled from accounts so let us know if anyone still gets it or not.
