Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

I'm with u if it ships Mon we will have it by Wed. since I m sure they never made mine overnight like they claim.Even though the warehouse they ship from is 3-4 hours from me with 2 day I'm sure they won't get it to me quicker :(

Someone back in this thread posted a timetable chart that Verizon uses to tell you estimated ship date depending upon your order date. VZW customer service should be happy to discourage you with your expected date with a phone call. While you are on with them, bitch and moan about the delay and say you have spoken with friends who have been given credits for the trouble. I'd bet somohapien's Dinc that you get something for asking...:D

Yeah, I can't call them. It was ordered through corporate, and I can't get the mobilty department to reply to my emails with an order number. They will be porting my number from Sprint, can VZW use that to check the order?

Interesting. Have you actually tried to call them? There has to be a dept.

I've ordered through VZ in the past and they had my info on the normal CS number.

Now when I did a corp order through ATT, I had to be transferred..... GET THIS.... SEVEN TIMES before someone could give me more info on why I didn't get a tracking number the next day... that was probably 1.5 years ago though.


Oh, and since I'm on a rant, to terminate my ATT DSL, it took 4 months of constant calling, and transfers to different departments, yay.

Nobody liked my haiku above?
 
Hell, if its gonna be 7/19 before I'll see this thing, then I'm going to have work just change the order to the Motorola Shadow and get it on 7/2. Should be a faster phone anyway.
 
first, Verizon shipped my wife's Eris on a Sunday. They shipped my case on Memorial Day (Ordered them on weekends and had tracking numbers on fedex.com that said recieved package for both).

Second, I am a 5/28 AM and my Curve's screen got cracked (even with a body glove protector that has hard plastic over the screen). I really need my new phone soon! What kinda sucks is that i have the insurance and I alreayd ordered my new phone BEFORE the screen got cracked.

Anyway, go 5/28s!!!!! SHIP EM NOW!

Yes, it is quite common to receive notification on the weekend that your phone has shipped. However, FedEx won't show it as shipped in their system until Monday, so an overnight shipment will arrive on Tuesday even if you are notified of shipment on Sunday.

6/6 Get shipping notice

go to fedex.com as soon as I get email....

"Picked up": 6/6 2:55pm
Arrived at fedEx Location: Memphis 8:33 6/6


6/6 is a Sunday.... ordered phone Saturday night 6/5

This was for an Eris ordered on verizon.com

(The part about overnight being delivered on Tuesday when shipped on Sunday is true though.... they treat any weekend pick-ups as Monday pick-ups)

That's what I thought too. I just mentioned above that the rep had told methat the warehouse was closed on weekends and I wouldn't hear anything until Monday. Assuming I get notification on Sunday, it still won't come until Tuesday, even with overnight shipping, right?

did pre order at best buy 6-7 around noon at best buy got call on 9th that all the pre orders were in some best buy stores are still doing the pre orders

I ordered mine through VZ via phone on 5/23 or 5/24 I can't remember which one, I just remember it was a Monday or Tues. The rep told me she would would send a text on Thur to say the order was placed and on track & that I could expect to have the phone by 6/15. I never received the text, I have called and they tell me I ordered on the 25th..which i know is not true and that I have to wait for it to ship by the 15th. I have not received any confirmation and when I call to check they nicely tell me that I keep calling and nothing has changed.

Ugh!!! I have been with Verizon for ever and while I don't want to whine....but I am whining ..I want my phone!!! lol
