AT&T locks out Sirius/XM App from Android

I thought about getting sirius for my phone until i found out I wouldn't get Howard Stern. That's the only reason I would want it, otherwise I would just continue to use Pandora.

Seems very odd. Like the article said...Blackberry's on At&t have it so what gives?

That's what caught my eye as slightly strange and why I posted my thoughts on Apple in there. Maybe I'm being paranoid; but a little bit of influence on AT&T possibly?

I've only tested it out as I stream it to my computer at the office; but I get O&A (:p) on the App feed so that's really all I care about. The thing eats battery, and if you don't have an unlimited data plan I could see someone getting into trouble with it real quick.

I totally agree. Such a shame how horrible the entire Sirius/XM merger turned out.

It took forever...and a company merges and we still have to pay to get the features of both companies.

No wonder the stock is horrible...if Stern goes...Sirius is going to be hurting.

Blackberries have apps that don't suck? Fascinating.

From my Incredible Drooooiiiiiid.

iPhones on AT&T also have it.

As long as the app has Opie & Anthony I'm happy... although having the NFL games would have been nice.

They still have a future with Opie and Anthony.

Is the Sirius/XM app normally available on the market, or only via sideloading?

Can the .apk of the app not be downloaded and installed via SDK?

I'd like to see if they lock out apps for the iPhone you can't get on the App Store.

I believe this is already the case unless the phone is jailbroken, though I may be wrong. In which case once a phone on AT&T is rooted it can side load apps.
