*** Official Motorola Droid X Pre-Release Thread***

Any suggestions for ppl switching over from say... BB? Since I have time on my hands while waiting... Thought maybe I could do something useful with it!

I'm doing this. But for me it is a little easier since I will keep my BB for work and have the X as my personal phone.

What I did was export my contacts to a vCard and import them into the gmail account I plan to have as my main acct on my X. I did all the editing I wanted to and removing of contacts so it will be ready day one.

The reason i am interested in this phone is because Moto will most likekly have a dovking station for this and some accecories, i really like sense, but i dont want to depend on it, i am still a little worried about the screen but i have seen some sizing and it is thinner than the incredible which is fine by me, cant wait for wednesday

The reason i am interested in this phone is because Moto will most likekly have a dovking station for this

I would say it is almost 100% considering the shots engadget had of the manual showed the dock.

I will be buying the dock when I preorder (if available)... I like beside docking for my phones.

And I said as much in my post.... but it does talk about the processor that Both the Droid 2 and Droid X has and benchmarks were ran on it either read it or ignore it, pretty simple.

I was thinking about it this morning as a matter of fact. The 19th seems probable still but I'm still holding out a small bit of hope for earlier in the month. I'm getting antsy. lol

I'd like to draw attention to my superior investigative skills and let you know about what I believe might be a new twitter account hidden in the commercial. Right after the ad starts we see a quick glimpse of some texts written backwards which, when flipped horizontally, read as @DroidLanding. Sounds like a twitter account, right? So far, I am the first and only follower of a Droid Does account over there. I feel pretty good that this might be a new source of droid information once it starts up. As of right now, there are zero tweets and a very generic profile/background. Perhaps we're ahead of schedule and aren't meant to know it exists yet?
