Google Voice Open to All

Hahaha, I guess I don't have to offer the 3 invites my sister just got the other day. At least I was able to find homes for the extra 2 I had. Gave 'em away here too.
 
Yeah I gave away one of mine on here. Two to friends. Now a Google Voice account isn't exclusive any more! WAHH!!
 
That's awesome!!! Now if only it actually worked. Unfortunately my google number doesn't work and since there's no support it's useless.

I see it as a good thing - I should have reserved my invites for folks I know in RL, but now that it is open, it is all good.
 
Hahahaha...I JUST fanagled an invite from someone on here literally an hour before the original post on this one. Awesome timing. Oh well. Time to enjoy GV in any case.

I know what you mean. I tried for about a month and couldn't get an invite.
So I signed up and just got one last week.
Still, it is an awesome app though.
 
*sigh* GV is pointless to me untill Google opens it up to the rest of the world

Yeah. The problem is when someone calls my google number some go to the voicemail and some go to GV and some get a cannot be completed as dialed message. The same thing happens when my cell is called, some get forwarded and some just get that other message.

Sounds like it's your cell phone or reception problem. Your GV # number is doing its part by forwarding the call to your cell. If you're not in reception area, then it gets forwarded to voicemail. It's only GV's problem when people (or yourself to test) call GV # and gets something different than dialing your cell # directly.

Also a way to troubleshoot things is look in the online GV account and click the 'missed' and 'received' call log.

Sometimes it works, I guess pending on the number that's calling. I checked the miss call log and the numbers that don't work aren't in their so I'm guessing it would be GV since they're not even showing anyone called.

It worked great before I switched to a google number! Once I switched to a google number it stopped working

It sucks too because I LOVED using GV for my voicemail. But now I can't
