gu1dry posted this lastnight on XDA @ [ROM] CyanogenMod 7 for the Nexus S 4G :: V7.1.0-RC1 (26 June 2011) - xda-developers
I can't speak for anyone else, but I prefer RC over nightlies any day!
found a battery tweek courtesy of shabbypenguin at xda that helps save battery. idk about anyone else but my battery was draining at rapid rates.
[ACS]Battery Tweak for the NS4G RC1 - xda-developers
I'm switching from the Big Red Machine tomorrow & have decided to go with the Nexus S 4G over the Evo and i'm wondering what's the best ROM available and any other must of things. i'm pretty diverse with androids so i'm definitely not a newbie just new to Nexus.
just not meant for me to get the 2.2 update bkuz everything short of Tridents 30+ plus step process has failed & I refuse to do that. I'll just wait for the thunderbolt & continue use 2.1 with Velocity 4
after reviewing several threads on problems & issues I'm wondering what is so great about froyo 2.2 & is it worth the 4+ hours of manual updating. I'm pretty satisfied with Velocity 4 until I get the Thunderbolt or another new Droid phone. what does froyo have that I currently don't?
i was attempting the Froyo 2.2.1 for root users guide but gave up. my question is can i except the OTA if i'm running Velocity .4? i know this will now allow me to root, which i've accepted, but i just want to know if i will be able to accept the OTA w/o any problems.
