So is there a way to make my G2 to automatically switch to 2G when the screen is turned off, and then revert back to 3g/hspa+/etc when the screen is turned back on? I'm assuming this would improve battery life right? Or will it make it worse since its constantly switching signals and such...

I have a G2, not rooted or anything (well not yet lol) and my voicemail icon is stuck and keeps saying I have a new voicemail even though I don't. My voicemail box is empty and I'm using the stock voicemail, not google voice. Anyone know what i can do?

Looking to find where i can get a G2 for free so i am scouring all the websites that can be offering them either for free or close to it with a new 2 year contract. I know it's cheaper in the long run to just buy the phone on ebay and go with t-mobile's cheaper plans, but i don't have the cash...
