Verizon Galaxy S3 to Straight Talk

I don't think an AT&T SIM card will work in a Verizon phone. BYOP for Verizon LTE should be rolling out closer to Thanksgiving, from what I've read online.

ST Noob - Verizon or ATT BYOD

More than a few times, I have used more than 100Mb in a day via both AT&T and VZW, usually due to listening to radio stations on and off during the day, again mindful to use low bit-rate streams. All my Straight Talk phones are still active, with regular speeds on all. :)

    Introduction - I'm not a spammer!

If you need APN settings, Straight Talk has an app for that. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tracfone.straighttalk.stdatasettings

ST Noob - Verizon or ATT BYOD

If what a customer is doing with the bandwidth, is causing issues with the network, I'm sure ST has the right to throttle that customer. I have read online elsewhere, where some have reported using considerably more than 3Gb and have not been throttled. In this instance, the underlying carrier...

ST Noob - Verizon or ATT BYOD

Verizon LTE on Straight Talk is throttled to 3Mbps down, 1Mbps up.

Are data speeds the same as the national carriers?

I read online that Verizon LTE for Straight Talk BYOP would be rolled out sometime in November, perhaps closer to Thanksgiving. In all likelihood, freeups getting throttled before reaching 3Gb, is due to the YouTube usage and ST is well within its rights to throttle. In the TOS, it specifically...

Are data speeds the same as the national carriers?

On my ZTE Unico (LTE) which goes through AT&T, during the early morning hours (Eastern U.S. time zone), Ookla's Speedtest app reported a download speed of greater than 50Mbps, which actually exceeded the limitations of the app. Interface-wise, the needle only goes up to 50Mbps in the app...

    Data Usage

Send an email to: ST.CorpResolutionTeam@straighttalk.com Give them your name, the phone's phone number, phone model, current service end date and the email address associated with the account. This is all to identify the account. Explain in the email what the exact issue is, what's not...

    ZTE Unico root

I think it could be getting a little harder to root a phone. I've read many messages online that some software used to root a phone. takes seven steps, the first six go through fine, but always failed on the seventh step and in the end, the phone still wasn't rooted. :what:

ZTE Majesty Usb device not recognized when connected to win 7 pc

I'm curious as to whether this might be normal behavior? I use Linux at home and the other night, I used USB for the first time, to charge the phone and a similar message came up on the screen when Linux detected the phone, that it wasn't recognized.

    Data Usage

It looks like this is a CDMA phone for the Verizon network. Once you register the phone online, you need to place a call to *22890 (don't forget the *) to program the phone and listen to the instructions, this is done over-the-air. Once it's programmed, data should then begin to work. The 3G...

    Phone bricked? Maybe not...

My Galaxy Exhibit 2 was running a little sluggish last week while it was running the Opera browser. Not sure what the problem was. But I did the trick to reset the phone, by removing the battery while the phone was powered on. After a few minutes, I put the battery back in and the phone...

    Help SID display

Ported over from metroPCS today. Better network, faster speeds; and it's Verizon. :) Does anyone know how to display the current SID that the phone is on? On the Status menu, it displays the network as "Verizon Wireless", but does not show a SID. Thanks.

    Signal Bars EDGE/3G

Just bought a Samsung Dart, great phone for the money. I am within line-of-sight of two T-Mobile cell sites, the closest is less than 1/2 mile away. When the phone is set to use 2G networks, the data icon changes to an E (EDGE) and displays full bars (4). In fact, because of my proximity...
