    Post Your Last Purchase

The used market for the 7300's is very good right now, due to a combination of them being a good value even new and a lot of them being sold because the newer model (Mk2) is out and people are upgrading. If you got it in the $700-ish range you did well especially if the supply was included. The...

What transceiver, where did you purchase it? A 15A circuit is more than adequate for a 100 watt radio, especially for single sideband. 30A at 13.8V is just over 400W so your 100W transceiver won't draw anywhere near that (it will draw well over 100W because it's not 100% efficient). You...

    E-Bikes

Be careful with those batteries- so many fatal fires here in NYC caused by charging e-bikes. I wouldn't trust a service that re-cells them, you have no idea where they are sourcing those cells from and you can also end up with a pack where the cells are out of balance which is bad. I'd get a...

    Possible coolant leak

Can't tell much from those pics, if the door gasket is loose it could be condensation from the cold air leaking out. If nothing else that will make the compressor run more frequently to try to maintain the temperature inside and give you higher electricity bills. The gasket should be easily...

    Sd card problem

How old is the card, what brand (is it a cheapo)? They do fail after a lot of writes especially the off-brand ones or worse counterfeit. Best thing is to copy all the files from it while you still can and replace it with a good quality new one.

    Stop goo's evil.plot

I'm not rich, and it can run on a cheap Pi. It's more an investment of time to set it up and maintain it (not much really but a learning curve if it's new stuff for you). Yes ad blockers work on individual devices and are good when you're out and about on the cell network. A Pi-hole is for your...

    Stop goo's evil.plot

IMO it's not worth losing sleep over. I do what I can to minimize intrusiveness and data collection by using a blocker (Blokada), turning off all the available toggles for what gets saved/sent to Google, not using Google to log into anything other than my Google account etc. On my home wifi I...
