i have a battery monitor that measure my battery capacity at 1500 but i have 1700 anker battery

Right now I'm breaking in the anker battery full and discharge it says to do it 5 time on 3 time but I want to switch Rom can I still do with out messing the anker cycles up or should I wait also whats a good rom for battery life beside digitalkarma and decks reloaded Ps I already know works...
