But I don't want to have to type it in. I want to ask it a question, which I do in a very quiet voice up to the microphone even in public and it reads that just fine. I don't then want it to start reading/squawking out the response in the loud intrusive way it does, making me have to poke at...
I don't want to have to stop it, I just don't want it to speak at all.
I've tried the path suggested by several answers: go to the google app, profile, settings, assistant voice and sounds, but the only options are 'red' or orange' (whatever those mean). The answers I got suggested there'd be...
I'm a big fan of the google search bar widget, but pretty much only for hitting the microphone and asking questions. Problem is the smallest it gets while still having a 'clickable' microphone seems to be 1x3, as far as I can see.
Make the widget smaller and the mic disappears and I have to...
I swipe down to get to the quick settings (or whatever it's called), and no matter how many times I've set it to auto rotate the screen, it's switched back to either portrait or landscape lock a few minutes later. When it goes to landscape lock all on it's own, it's making a lot of stuff...
Damn this was painful. I did clear the cache which didn't help, so I then EVENTUALLY (can't remember how now) got to settings/general management/keyboard list and default/Keyboard button on navigation bar. Which for some reason was switched off. Before all this, there was a microphone symbol at...
Until a couple of days ago it was at the very bottom left of my screen below the keyboard, next to the navigation keys (Galaxy A13).
Now it has vanished, and I can't work out how to get it back or do speech to text on all my apps like messages etc.
I've done updates, restarted and all but to...
There are a few shorts regulars in my feed that are ai voiced and are very annoying. But of course because I click on them because the content looks interesting, they keep coming up. The channel is not displayed beforehand like normal videos, nor is the option to stop seeing them.
I often watch them in bed and fall asleep. It's very tiresome to wake up to find the whole list has played through, or to be woken up during the night by the ongoing vids. I understand I don't have to watch playlists, but it's nice to have the option.
Ok just to clarify, please bear with me. Does the miniplayer (by which I mean the miniplayer that is present while you are still in youtube) you are talking about have resizeable with the pinch motion? Does it have distinctly rounded corners? Can it be moved anywhere on the screen?
You mean it seems the same as the change that happened a few weeks ago?
Or have you never noticed any change? It changed to the clunky one a few weeks ago on my Samsung phone and tablet, and a couple of days ago it changed back to the old better miniplayer on both.
It looks like it. Good thing too, that thing they tried was a mess! The size and position was always changing, and you sometimes couldn't even see it because it camouflaged itself when there were similar colors on the main screen behind it!
The X is there yes, but it was the case on the previous one where just a casual swipe down anywhere on the miniplayer would close it, without having to actually look and aim for the X. The new miniplayer apparently has that feature too but it's taking me 4 or 5 swipes to make it actually go away...
