I recently purchased the Viewsonic Viewpad 7 and noticed that if I let the battery drain and let the phone die, after charging and powering the device back on, my display brightness is reset to the lowest brightness. Anyone know if this is due to the device running 2.2.1?

Is there anyone here that has successfully rooted the optimus m on 2.2 using adb? If so, would you be so kind as to help out a fellow android fan? Would like to use root priv to remove all this bloatware metropcs decided to install.
