Again, probably an old one, but how do I stop certain apps launching automatically, when I don't want them to? This is not just after switching the phone on, but at various times during the day, even after I've force-closed them. The usual culprits are Facebook, Footprints (whatever that is)...

Probably an old question, but if I want to get rid of the crummy Orange World "Internet" icon on my Desire, what are the options (other than rooting at the moment)? Change to Opera/Dolphin or similar? A nicer icon? A nicer widget? Cheers Mark

How do I find out if my Desire screen is AMOLED or SLCD, as this seems to be important for rooting? There is nothing that makes sense on the box sticker, but then it IS an Orange phone. If I power up so I can see the HBoot info, it also says "Touch Panel Synt 0101". Does this mean anything...
