I read a lot about rooting and the ability to remove all the extras installed by the network, but I have a stock HTC rom froyo 2.2 so I am thinking do I really need to root to get rid of the extras....... I think not! Please tell me otherwise. What are the other benefits? thanks

I need to do a factory reset on my Desire and I want to backup all of my bookmarks stored in the stock browser but I cannot remember how to do so, or if indeed I have done before! Any help would be appreciated Paul

I do a lot of texting and have noticed that my battery gets hammered when using the sms app and realised that it is black text on white background, which is clearly eatin away at my battery. Is there any way of changing the background and text colour? Thanks

I have just posted this post successfully using my laptop connected to my desire flashed to 2.2 using it's wifi hotspot giving me internet access from my laptop. I can say that everything I need and have tested works perfectly on my flashed desire. And I am impressed.
