Is there a way to stop the gps from sleeping when the phone does? I can't help but feel this haas something to do with the lackluster maps response and other apps. When the gps sleeps it loses all satellite locks and tries to get them again meaning maps etc. had to retrack your position.

Am I missing something here? I had my contacts connected to my gmail, then decided to see if I could put them on the sim and still use a picture for them (protip, you can't :P) then I decided to go back to [g] contacts and thus would need to just delete the ones on the sim else I'd have...
