    Battery Replacement

I have loved everything about my N6 since I bought it almost two years ago, with one exception. The battery life has never been great and has deteriorated over time. Perhaps this is because I charge the phone mostly on a wireless pad. About a year ago, I paired the phone to a smartwatch. The...

Help Android 7.x OTA for the N6

It popped up about an hour ago in my notifications. I run my stock N6 on Sprint in suburban Dallas. The OTA install went smoothly. The only glitch was that 43 apps from Amazon had to be individually reinstalled.

    Cannot Connect to Watch

I have a Nexus 6 and a LG Watch Urbane, both stock. They have been paired since birth, until yesterday. Since my phone got the April update via OTA, neither device finds the other on Bluetooth. I have hard booted both devices, twice. No bueno! I think that I have solved the problem, by doing a...

Mediaserver s Killing My Battery !!

I have a stock N6 running on Sprint. I left it untouched on my desk, with 100% power, for about 4 hours. When I picked up, it was at 6%! The cause appears to be something called Mediaserver. I haven't seen this before. It appears to be a service, not an app. Can anyone enlighten me on how to...

Battery Life Improvement when using Google Photos

Several months ago, I got a LG Watch Urbane and paired it with my N6. It was a good marriage, but always-on Bluetooth caused a real dip in my N6 battery life. I never could find a solution, until today. It turns out that a big battery killer is the Google Photos app, which syncs to the cloud...

    Help OTA update Issues/troubleshooting

I got the OTA last night and almost immediately found a minor issue. I use the Simple Analog Clock widget on an alternate home screen. With a seconds hand, it is useful for frequently setting my Rolex watch (Rolex makes watches that are expensive jewelry but lousy timekeepers). After upgrading...

Help How to Crank Up the Volume after JB ??

The TF700T has always been a pretty quiet tablet. My solution was to run Equalizer in the background with across-the-board +15dB settings. That made the tablet loud enough for me, but it ended with Jelly Bean. The Equalizer app still runs, but it no longer seems to do anything. Does anyone...

Easy Way to Speed Up Your Bionic !!

I have an Asus Transformer Infinity (TF700T) tablet that has been slow and laggy since installing Jelly Bean. Tonight, I finally found a solution that basically gives me a speedy new tablet. Then I tried it on my Bionic, with similar results. Here are the very simple directions: 1] Go to...

Help 4.2.1 has killed Google Search and Google Now on my Stock TF700T !!

Google Search and Google Now both worked fine before the recent update. Now, neither works. A simple search for something like "Margaret Thatcher" spins for 20-30 seconds and then dumps back to the home screen with no results. Is anyone else having this issue? Does anyone have any solutions...

FoxFi updated for Jelly Bean today !!

FoxFi was updated today, specifically to provide compatibility with Jeally Bean on many phones including several flavors of the Moto Droid such as the Razr and Razr Maxx. This means that the updated FoxFi should also provide compatibility with Jelly Bean on the Droid Bionic. For those of you...

    Help Screenshots in JB ??

My Bionic used to take screenshots using Volume Rocker + Power Button. Since upgrading to 4.0.4, my (stock) Bionic no longer takes screenshots. Does anyone else have this problem? Does anyone have a work-around?

    Help Cold Boot ??

Does anyone know the correct procedure for doing a cold boot (not a factory data reset) on a stock Infinity running JB? Thanks in advance to all that respond.

ICS Stock Browser - Quick Controls

I first got ICS on my Asus TF101 early last summer. The stock browser had Quick Controls, which I grew to really like. Then I moved to ICS Browser+, because it had enhanced and customizable Quick Controls. When I upgraded to my Asus TF700T, I stuck to ICS Browser+. A few weeks ago, that...
