I'm wondering if there is a way to have an app not appear when you pull up your apps menu, but still be able to access it some other way (like navigating thru a file manager).

I've rooted my mesmerize, but I haven't installed any of the custom ROMs or the leaked Froyo version. When US Cellular does finally roll out the update, will the fact that my phone is rooted affect how I would receive my update?
