Just flashed this and am really enjoying it, the only thing that bugs me is that everytime I try to go into the gem settings it force closes everytime. Not sure how do get this fixed. Other than that, great rom. Diggin the incognito theme, goes well with my setup.

Thanks, that worked great. There is a minor issue though, every time I rotate the screen, the icons revert back to the stock launcherpro icons. Any way to fix this?
 
I couldn't resist trying this ROM after all the claims about speed, and I must agree this ROM is mind-numbingly fast so far.

Question though, is there any way to move apps to the SD card with this ROM? My memory is FULL.
 
Overall I'd say this is a toss up for best ROM with Lithium. I have the Watermark'd theme for both. Sapphire runs a bit smoother and quicker, but doesn't have the same amount of customization as Lithium. Battery life for both is great, I can make it easily through a full days work with 50% left(30% if I use it a lot). Great job with Sapphire, just make sure you install stock Sapphire before giving it a theme.

I had the same (gem settings fc) problem immediately after flashing. I rebooted and all was well.
 
i rooted with easy root. I'm running the latest sapphire, it's awesome. i want to remove Verizon installed apps, visual voice mail, amazon, twitter and facebook. i run terminal emulator then scriptybox. when i type in rmapk mp3 (amazon) i get a error message saying mount: permission denied (are you root) I type y. then message says rm: can't remove Read only file system. please help. tried sapphire page link to scriptybox guide is broken. Please dumb down your answers. i'm really new to this. Thanks.
 
Try titanium backup.

Press backup restore tab.

Short click on what you want to uninstall.

Select uninstall from pop up menu.

Note that a long click brings up another menu where u can move things to sd card.

Just be careful what you move or delete.

Maybe this would solve my apps to SD problem? Had to restore my previous ROM due to no memory with this one.
 
You can't move everything and in some cases titanium doesn't give you the option. But you can move more than from the market. Between deleting and moving stuff - titanium solved my space issue.

first you need to be root

in the terminal (hit enter after each line to run)

then you need to mount the system for read/write. here is how you do it on any ROM

mount -o rw,remount -t yaffs2  /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system

Or Sapphire includes a convienent script for mounting quickly
just type

now you can run you remove commands (rm) or take advantage of scriptybox and use "rmapk" (you can type "scriptybox" at any point to get help on a command)

Ya a reboot was the first thing that came to mind and still didn't work for me, I did wipe and reflash which worked but didn't feel like setting everything back up, so just reflashed lithmod till I'm in the mood to set everything back up.

In terminal, type the following:

su (enter)
pm setInstallLocation 2 (enter)

That's it. Then go to main screen - settings - applications - manage applications - click the apps you want to move and hit 'move to sd'.

Not all apps will move.
 
I had too many problems with LP; widgets disappearing, weird artifacts and drawing problems, etc., to use this ROM. Plus weird things like memory filling up and other various and sundry problems I did not want to try to work out.

I'm back on CM6's latest nightly build and while not quite as snappy, it at least works. ;-)
 
new to the whole droid root scene (came from rooted eris). can the droidx keyboard or the htc ime keyboard be installled on this rom?

themed one, ver 27 non froyo high res. downloaded, extracted, installed. changed keyboard settings to htc ime, and now i get a FC everytime i open the keyboard
 
I am not sure if this has been posted here yet, but I had the same issue with my apps not downloading. I found that if I opened the market app, and chose Menu | Downloads all of my apps automatically began to download. I would the recieve a status "27 Apps Restored" or something like that.

You need the froyo one. Your signature says your on Sapphire (which is awesome!), Sapphire is Froyo.

Regarding the wireless tether, I have not had that problem so I am not sure. Sometimes it takes my computer a while to detect it. I'll have to refresh my wireless networks detected often for a few minutes till its found. It should be called AndroidTether. Sorry I don't have better info for that issue.
