Help Samsung Galaxy Note III screen not turning on

Sygon

Lurker
Don't ask why, but I put my phone in my shoe, which is a tough, faux leather one and left it there while I walked with it for about half an hour. I took my phone out and the screen is cracked and the display won't turn on. The little LED was still blinking so it is still functioning but the screen won't turn on at all not even during bootup. Any advice?

Okay most people I assuming have read your post and came away with two conclusions 1) your a certifiable idioto_O or 2) your troll posting random non sense:thumbsdowndroid:
I read your post and thought at first okay this person is most definitely an idiot troll. However I thought okay let's no so be quick to judge, you could be father, who simply ran out of steam, brain was shutting down :goofydroid: or perhaps you were over work, trying to do a million things at once and your phone got place in your shoe. Your in a hurry gotta catch a flight or the bus, train your rushing about you feel something in your shoe but can't stop
Okay here's what you can do. 1) move on get a new device, 2) take your phone to repair shop and spend $80-$200 on an out dated no longer supported device
My advice move on .You can get a cheap no thrill device for under $100 or spend $1,000 and get all the bells and whistles:thumbsupdroid:

If you really must know... I had gotten my phone confiscated over 10 times this year at school and was required to hand it in everyday. I say I don't have it so they say they have to search me so my first idea is to put it in my shoe and hide it. The thing is I can't afford a new phone and my parents will kill me if they see the state of it that's why I'm asking.

Can you afford $200? Because that's roughly about what it costs to replace a busted Galaxy Note3 AMOLED screen. There's really nothing else you can do, apart from buying another phone.

Hopefully, you're going to come through this little mishap a bit wiser.

The next time you're inclined to disobey rules, ask yourself if it's really worth it. For example, in your current situation, if your little ruse had worked, then what? You're not going to use the forbidden phone while you're in school, right? So what was the payoff? What would've been so great about not turning in your phone like you're supposed to?

You're going to learn as you get older that there are reasons--like actual, logical, valid reasons--for rules. You're also going to find that sometimes even the most law-abiding amongst us will break a rule--with good reason.

Say you're at the beach and it's posted "no swimming." But you see someone in the water, and they're drowning. No one would condemn you for disobeying the "no swimming" rule in order to save a life.

But a phone you're not supposed to have while in class? [Shaking my head...]

Reminded me of a couple of weeks ago when I confiscated a grade 7 student's iPhone X. He got it back at the end of the day of course. Yeh, a 13 year old boy with a $1000 phone. :thumbsupdroid:

Second offence, and their parents or guardians have to come and collect confiscated items.

Personally if you were my kid, your phone would be in lock down during school hours. You would be able to call emergency services or parents, maybe one other adult. You would have zero access to social media
Oh and if found out your cellphone had been taken away 10 times, you could kiss it good bye
