Well if you ever encountered errors while trying to flash a stock firmware on any new Samsung devices their is such a thing called ODIN LOCKED.

So what is it and what does it do?

Well ODIN locked has no option to unlock it or even possible to show up in the devices bootloader, however samsung decided to uo their security to prevent their devices to be rooted any means neccassary even if your device cannot boot.

What ODIN LOCKED does is block all connections dealing with the AP option in Odin and always receive a Fail when ever odin attempts to flash the firmware.

This is becasue ODIN LOCKED is unknown and developers cannot seem to find the code to fix the problem, so if you receiveed any system updates starting from 2018 and beyond keep in mind firmware flashing is blocked

you can't flash firmware anymore. so i wonder what the reason for that is. do they want us to now go to our carriers to do something simple? that seems very lame!!!!!!

I guess so i think its more that if your device breaks instead of you fixing it for free they want you to go to them and spend that $$$ to them, mire like a cash grab

First I've heard of this. May explain why the last few times I've tried to help/guide someone here to reflash their firmware with Odin, what should have been a easy and straight forward process, ended in failure.
Another reason I'm glad I left Samsung after the S5.
So, nothing pops up as a error or fault in Odin or on the phone to point to this as the reason?

Shows up in odin as failed and on the phone your trying to flash its install bar stays the way it is
