Gcam ultra wide angle lens

Hello. I am running Gcam version 6.1.021 Advanced 1.6.190614.0200 on my S10 plus SD 855 processor. I got the ultra wide angle lens working once right after I download the camera apk. Then, the ultra wide angle camera never works.

Does anyone know how to solve this issue? Thanks.

Hello. I cannot even switch to the ultra wide camera mode. When I press the switch button, it would just switch from main camera to selfie camera. From a YouTube videos I saw, when people press the switch button the 3rd time, that switch would be from the selfie cam to ultra wide angle lens. But when I press the switch button for the 3rd time, it would just go back to main camera from selfie cam. There isn't a 3rd camera option.

Actually, I'm not really sure what version of gcam i should use. That's why I stated the version number on the post. It would be great if you can tell me how I can verify which version of gcam I should download.

And I don't think my phone is rooted... I don't even understand what root means.

ok just make sure that the one you have is for the s10+. the apk for gcam is very device specific.

and don't worry your phone does not need to be rooted from what i can tell. rootings is like gaining admin rights to your phone.....so that you can make changes to the operating system.

but your phone has a snapdragon chip which is not rootable yet.

Well... It just says the app is not installed...

ok that screenshot does not help me as i do not speak or read (chinese? korean?) you most likely will need to uninstall the previous gcam first. then reinstall the new gcam.

also the article says that you need to make sure the phone has the latest update as well.

With these gcam hacks, you always need uninstall the old one and install the new one.

Been playing w/these for years and it's great to have a 2nd option other than the stock camera, even if the stock cam is really good
