How Do I Unlock Boot loader On G930V. Oreo

So My Friends Have Been Telling Me To Get Root And Telling Me All The Benefits It Allows Me To Have.

I Was Looking To Root My Phone But I First Need To Unlock Bootloader First. My Phone Is A Samsung Galaxy S7 Running Oreo Sm-G930V. If Anyone Has The Answer To Unlock Bootloader On My Phone That Would Be Great.

Unless you really need an app that requires root, ther's little point in rooting these days. Unlocking the bootloader and installing a custom recovery like TWRP - definitely worth it, as your phone has a very active development community, who have ported Android 9 Pie to the phone. I doubt if Samsung will ever provide that.
Oh, and if you do decide to root, please use Magisk as it doesnt' mess with the system partition (which may cause problems with some of Android's or Samsung's security features.
 
Rooting is too much of a hassle, banking, work, and streaming apps will not function once rooted. If your not proficient with rooting just leave it alone

they main thing is if you want info on how to root or anything root related, head on over to xda. it is a developer forum where most devs publish their goodies.

I'm not seeing the bootloader unlocking + ROM flashing as even possible, being a VZW device. They're very discriminatory against ROM development.. You'd need an International version with the Exynos chip.

oooops you are right. i did forget to check what model the op had.

yeah samsung has it pretty locked down tight unless you have the right chip on your device. i want to root my note 8, but can't unfortunately.

Thats why i stopped supporting Samsung because they dont want no one rooting their devices!
 
I've heard people complaining their bank don't work if rooted..I've also rooted my T-Mobile Note5 a while ago..and the bank worked flawlessly.

What's the truth???

Magisk is a whole another animal vs SuperSU and the MagiskHide capability can sometimes work
 
hey any luck on rooting SM-G930V??? I really would like to use VPN hotspot apps but they require the phone to be rooted and I wanna remove all this VZW bloatware off my phone.
