Gear 3 backup location

Samsung Gear 3 Frontier

I have backed up the gear via samsung wearable to the cloud but when I go to the cloud the only devices are my mobile and my tablet.

Is there some other separate cloud/account for Gear?

so looks like the backup and restore feature is only thru the app. you can buy a new gear watch download the app and restore your settings from the previous watch.
