How do you delete apps from play store library?

I have been deleting them on my phone, but they are still showing up in the library in the play store. How do I eliminate them?

Hello rcyphermd. By "library" are you referring to the "my apps" section of Play Store in the menu? That will always be associated with the Gmail account you set up when you activated your device.

You can "start over" by setting up a new Gmail account with Play Store, but a new list will start, of course, as long as you use Play Store to download apps and widgets.

If you mean something else, please let us know. ;)

So the only way to delete the apps from the library you tried but didn't like is to start over with a new email?
 
I'm on version 4.1.6 of the Play Store and when I go to the list of All apps that have ever been installed there is an "x" in the top right corner of each app that allows me to remove it from the list permanently.
 
What id like is a way to remove apps from the "update" part of "my apps". Its not a huge problem but theres certain apps i dont wana update and its messy having them there.
Anyone know if the "break market link" (or something like that) in Titanium does this?:beer:
 
Correct. It can only be done through the Google Play app on your phone. If you don't have the "x" in the list of All apps, I think you can long press the app and it will give you the opportunity to delete them. Still have to be on a newer version of the app and Android.

I believe the OP doesn't want to "delete" any app, but merely to remove the "Update" reminder for some apps. Build 4.1.6 of Google Play Store does not work as you suggest.

Doesn't appear to be a way to do this from a PC. At the moment the only way to remove them is via the app under the All tab by tapping the X for each one you want to remove.

I guess it's something you could do while watching a movie, or if you're totally bored waiting at an appointment or something. A monotonous pain in the butt indeed.

This functionality of Titanium Backup is broken. I've read somewhere that Google is to blame for this, but I don't know if that is true. Anyway, I've contacted the Titaium Backup dev about a week ago but haven't got a response yet.

I read this thread this morning, now a couple hours later on a completely unrelated search I found this article:

It basically says to use the Google Play app on your phone as described by Petrah a few posts above, but it tells you how to multiple select by long-pressing a list item.

I'm not sure it sounds any quicker than doing them individually, though.

(And if anyone wants to help with my unrelated question: Is there a good way to browse the Google Play store either on the computer or on Android? Seems like all it's willing to display is stuff like "top free", rather than letting me drill down through a heirarchy of categories and tags.)

Oh yes yes yes, it IS faster! I merely lightly pressed on about 50 of them.. boom boom boom boom boom.. then hit the X and they were toast. There's extra steps if you do them individually.

I will be receiving a new Ultra Tuesday and I do not want all my old apps from my computer's library to be downloaded to the new phone. Is there a way to make this happen or will they all just download and I will have to go in and delete one at a time?
 
Only one way:!!!

Install “My Phone Explore” in the system.

Install “My Phone Explorer client” from Play Store in your phone

Try to find out the mouse clicking software “AutoMouseKey” or also named as “Automatic Mouse and Keyboard 5.2.9.2” ( find portable cracked version to full access)

Connect the phone via USB ( no other methods wouldn’t works – in Control Phone/Load screen Shot in the My Phone Explore)


After connect the phone go to the phone’s playstore and select the library.

Write a script via “Automatic Mouse and Keyboard 5.2.9.2” ( it is very easy ; all are in GUI) (pointing the mouse over the X mark and write delete action via keyboard)

Loop the script, delete all library items one by one.


That’s it..
