Help Weather Bug Alert Notification

I really like weather bug, but can't seem to get the weather alert notifications to work. I've even got a cool thunder clap picked out for the sound.

I've got everything set in weather bug, I get the temp notification, and the alert notification icon will show up, but no sound.

Anyone have this issue?
 
I'm using the elite version. Setting alert sounds is straight forward... open WB>menu>preferences>notification sound. I have this set to off so I don't know for certain it's functional. I do get the alerts in the status bar so I only assume the sound feature works. Best of luck.
 
I also use it and at one point (I believe it was after an update) I noticed it wasn't making any sounds. When I checked, Enable Notifications was checked but the sound in Notification Sound was changed to Off. Don't know if it'll help since you did mention that you had your sound picked out.
 
Yeah, I made sure I had sounds turned on. I've even tried selecting other default sounds. Part of the problem, I can only test it when there is a weather alert.

I do get the notification just no sound.

olbriar, do you think you could turn the sound on, and see if on your next alert it works? Just so I know if its an issue with the app or my phone? That would be super helpful.
 
I will report back if I receive any alerts. Being as I'm on the back half of this weather system... I don't know if I'll receive any for a while. :(
 
cipher6, the sound notification worked just fine with my weather bug elite. You might try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Hope you get it working.
 
You also mentioned that you are trying to use a custom sound. Try using a one of the original sounds and see if it works with that. Maybe something is wrong with your sound file (format, size, location).

Just a thought.
 
So, I switched ROMs back to Business Official, (from CM6) (troubleshooting other problems) and as everything was loading up, it played the alert sound. hmmmmmmmm.......

Yes I do I have tryed everything it's. Told me to do. Help
