Black screen

Every couple ove says my screen keeps going black I can turn it off and on and still wont work I then have to tap the back part of the device quite hard for it to turn on any ideas on how to get this fixed
 
well it could be a hardware or software issue. try a factory reset (just remember this will delete your data)? if it is still doing it then it is not software and most likely a hardware issue.
 
If tapping the back of the device hard is what's required to fix it this is hardware. Probably a loose connector (do you have to tap a particular point on the tablet?). It might be as simple as opening it up and pushing a connector into place properly, but whether you are happy to do that yourself or would prefer to pay someone to do it is up to you. I would think that nobody can know for sure what the problem is without actually opening the device.
