How can I use a computer to flash techno canon c9
Just to be clear, you do mean Tecno Camon C9, correct?

We'll need a little more info, such as which operating system you use on your computer, and if you consider yourself pretty tech savvy. Let us know!

Yes, Please provide more information needed to answer your question. MoodyBlues has knowledge experience necessary for the answer you seek.

well you can't. rooting is very device specific. you can try some one click root like kingo root, but i'm not sure it will work. you picked a device that is not supported by developers and thus nobody has worked on a way to root.

the only question i have for you is why do you want to root? if the answer to is to remove bloatware or something to that effect, i would caution you. give me a sec as i will explain, but there are a few things that need to be said.

first off, since there are not any developers supporting your device, you will not get a custom recovery. this is a very important to tool for root users. a custom recovery can do many things, but one of the main functions is to make a nandroid backup of your phone. this is like a save point in a video game. if you mess up, you can always restore a backup and it will be like nothing happened to your phone. it backs up pretty much everything including your data.

second, if you want to root to delete things, then i would caution you. a lot of system apps are intertwined with each other. if you delete one, you might screw the other and it is quite possible you might make your phone inoperable (basically a soft brick). you might be able to fix it by flashing a firmware, but there is a possibility it will unroot the phone. (provide you do gain root).

and lastly just remember this:
no devs=no fun

the coolest part of rooting is the custom roms. there are so many talented developers out there. and we are all lucky that they are able to provide their hard work to the public.....pretty much for free (though i do recommend pitching in if they have an avenue for contributions). these custom roms are amazing: some are really small in size giving you more internal storage; some are optimized to be fast and provide better battery life; some are themed; and some are just rooted but stock.

and here is a tip:
if you are looking to root your next phone, do some research first. the best place to go for all things root is over at xda developers forum. do a search for the phone you are interested. if you see that your phone has a forum, that is a great start. if you do not then i would stop right there. that means that there is no dev community for your phone. like i said no dev= no fun. if your phone does have a forum then start your research in the android development subforum. there should be guides on how to root the device.

and the last tip i will give is to read, read, read, and then read some more. at this point if you have questions please feel free to come back here and ask away. the main takeaway is to do your research first before making the plunge.

so as of right now there is no written way to root your phone. you might get lucky and kingo root or other older root methods might work, but i do not know. if you are still planning to root your device, then good luck and just be cautious.

I also looked in to it as well, unfortunately there is a lack of development and to port another verient may be possible is not as simple as you may think. Personally, I am a rooted user for many years. So I understand your desire to gain root access. At the same time, I also know as was mentioned ocnbrez that a custom recovery like TWRP is important. In fact. I consider custom recovery the most important part in regards to rooting and flashing. I am by nature step outside the box and ported system aps from other verients to my divice with no glitches. Likewise, I have also do the same thing ended up in a bootloop (soft brick) if I did not have custom recovery a back to reflash my phone chanced are my sft brick is now a hard brick (expensive paperweight). In the this situation wiping user data would not unbrick my device because the brick is do to the incomplete system app that I decided to port.Wiping date on stock recovery wipes user date.
I real option left would be to flash back to Official factory firmware and I know some believe this will fix all and good to go. Generally that will be true. However, I can speak from experience with 100% certainty that is not alway the case. Gaining root involves su binaries and most often budyboy applets and binaries as well. Officials firmware may detect that it detect su binaries and empoy security messure that keep your phone from boot.
Ok, Now think that was do to 1 incompatible system app. Then think of how many apps are in the rom that was developed for another device. There is so much more and my explanation simplistic. I am not trying to
Discourage you ,
If your real are intent on toot and custom roms. The first thing is a phone with an unlovked bootloader not to be confused with carrier unlocked. Second look to XDA for roms and root methods specifically developed for both carrier and model phone. Also make sure to match that with the OS of your device. Yes that mean buying another phone. Good luck

I decidedvto do a bit of searching to point you in the right direction, unfortunately there is a lack of development and to port another verient may be possible but not very likely. . Personally, I am a rooted user for many years, furthermore I understand your desire to gain root access and fladh custom roms.
ocnbrze mention a custom recovery like TWRP and its importance. Not only to I agree. I hope to keep that in mind. I consider custom recovery the most important part in regards to rooting and flashing.
I am by nature a (calculated) risk taker step outside the box and ported system aps from other verients to my divice with no glitches. Likewise, I have also do the same thing ended up in a bootloop (soft brick).
Official factory firmware flashing ibelieve this will fix all and good to go. Generally that will be true. However, I can speak from personal experience Official Firmware is not always Just keep in mind, rooting involves su binaries and most often busybox and binaries as well. Officials firmware is designed in part for security and detect these binary as a breach and employ proticall that is designed to protect your data. Needless to say , this doesn't play well well root.
Among othr sprong point by oznbre is lack of development. That not only pertsins to custumr toms but also the the posts within . This give a pool of information to draw from. I also suggest not dive into advanced level type mods but to start from the beginning. familiarizeing yourself with the terminology.
and that doesn't take very long.
If you are intent on rooting and flashing. Have a phone with an unlocked bootloader not to be confused with carrier unlocked,
