Android pie bricked it

I desperately need help reverting back to Android Oreo on my Moto z2 force. Bluetooth will not connect to anything, the phone will not accept calls (though I receive the voicemails afterward, just no calls), apps are updating on their own despite me having that feature disabled and the list goes on. It is now essentially a dumbed down version of it's former self. I just cannot understand how the most basic functionality has been removed. It's a phone that can't get phone calls! What the heck? All of the other changes I have found seem largely unnecessary. Right down to putting the clock on the left side. True Android users know that's where notifications go...
If you're on another network other than verizon consider yourself lucky to not be receiving this downgrade. It's the sorriest downgrade disguised as an upgrade I've ever seen. I've been loyal to Android since my very first smartphone and I've never had so many big issues after a system update! Why would I want a dumbed down version of an Android that looks and performs like an iPhone simpleton? If I wanted an iPhone is buy one. So I guess I might if I can't get back to Oreo.
Unless anyone else with the Moto z2 force had the same issues and knows how to fix them?
I guess the long story short is this: I need help! How can I return my phone to its previous wonderful Android Oreo self and regain my much needed functionality???

I second the factory reset idea. That should put you back at Oreo--then quickly make sure auto-update is disabled.

I'd heard some awful things about Pie and wasn't sure whether I'd upgrade, but Motorola took the decision out of my hands! :D

have you tried just doing a factory reset? sometimes upgrades can get corrupted either on the download side or the install side.

i do not have your phone so i can't speak of pie on it, but pie on the note 8 and now the note 10 has been great.
Just did this. Smoother then what Pie did this too.
