Help Samsung J Max touch issue

It's all about my friend's Samsung J Max device. The device is completely fine but cannot input the commands by touching the screen. According to the technician's advises, it costs a bit a lot to repair it. I need to know, is there a way to operate the device via another phone to only get the stuff inside it? As the Media transfer option cannot be selected, no option to use PC..Any advanced technical advice? Actually, no addition backup has been used, unfortunately. Wet in rain was the problem for the issue

sorry i think you are SOL on this one. not without a working screen. there apps like AirDroid:Remote Access & File, but it needs to installed on your device.....kind of hard to do without a working touch screen.

You can try connecting a trackball or mouse to it, and use that to navigate the screen's choices. You'll need an adapter; which kind depends on which type of port the phone has, micro-USB or USB-C.
