Favorite game cutscenes

I've been a gamer for 25years now, this is gonna seem like a strange choice but I'm picking the licker scene in resident evil 2.. looking back on it now it doesn't even seem that impressive but at the time I remember sitting there with my friend thinking that graphics just couldn't get any better haha :D

I can't think of many that stick out in my mind but I really liked the opening of Half life 1 where you were on a tram and could look around during the opening credits.

Halo 2, Delusions and Grandeur. The Arbiter explains the true purpose of the Halo Array to Tartarus. Whilst he wants to stop Tartarus from activating them, it's also like he's finally admitting to himself that everything he's based his entire life on is a lie.

Legacy of Kain - Defiance. Kain kills Mobius, then accidentally kills Raziel. But in doing so, he realises that this is what he was supposed to do. Raziel also comes to terms with the fact that his destiny was to finally succumb to the Soul Reaver. It's a bit wordy, but it's brilliant. "I am not your enemy, not your destroyer. I am, as before, your right hand, your sword".

I was virtually unbeatable at Street Fighter 2 when I was younger so this is here for a little sentimental value and it's pure unadulterated cheese. The Street Fighter 4 intro is immense.

I cant believe I forgot this one! thats one of my favourite cutscenes to one of my favourite PS2 games!!

You've reminded me of loads of PS2 games as well! Devil may cry had some awesome ones and the God of war series!
 
Funny you should mention DMC, as the intro from DMC4 was nearly in my list.....

Again, it's a cheesy one, but I love the line -

"You've got a jacked up notion of fair play pal, and it's beginning to piss me off". :D
 
Add the ending to Wolfenstein: The New Order to my list.

Going through the entire game, I did not envisage an ending like that. Like Max Payne 2, the song that plays during the credits suits the ending perfectly.

I'm currently jumping between Wolfenstein: The new order and watchdogs.

Must say i'm very impressed with Wolfenstein so far and im not usually a fan of 1st person shooters.

Will have to put abit more effort into getting it finished :)
 
For me I think it was the command and conquer 3 red alert cut scenes. They kind of cheated and stuck real video in there instead of using cgi but it was the first gimps for me that video games didn't have to be pixelated. Plus Jennifer Morrison's hot, mmm
